National Chemistry
This qualification studies the building blocks of chemistry including reaction rates and chemical equations, simple organic compounds and the use of chemicals to sustain modern life . The course looks at how chemical principles can be applied to the issues facing the individual and society today.
The units are -
- Chemical Changes and Structure
- Nature's Chemistry
- Chemistry in Society
Students will be assessed at the end of each unit, will complete a practical report and a research report. An Added Value Assignment(20%) and a final exam (80%) will determine the final grade obtained.
