The school aims to provide a secure, supportive and challenging environment based on mutual respect where staff and pupils develop their skills to the highest level. We also seek to promote education as an active partnership through our home and wider community links.

Our school vision statement which underpins all we do is; 'educating the whole person, in a spirit of enquiry, to judge wisely, act fairly and live well.'

The roll in February 2025 was ~1200 and is projected to grow significantly in the coming term.  Stay-on rates have improved and are typical of the local authority and national picture.
